perlu diketahui jawas adalah sebuah marga keturunan arab yang lahir di hadramaut, tepatnya di kota sehun, kota ini merupakan kota yang sibuk dengan berbagai kegiatan.
jawas merupakan satu kesatuan yang tidak terpisahkan, bahkan jawas tidak pernah mengalami penyabangan keturunan seperti terjadi pada marga NAhdi dan bajri. Oleh karena itu sebenarnya Jawas adalah sebuah marga yang memiliki kekeluargaan yang sangat dekat.
ada beberapa hal yang perlu digariskan :

1. Penulisan Jawas/Djawas/Djawwas/jawwas, adalah merupakan sebuah penulisan yang menurut kami sama saja karena muara dari semua ini dikarenakan adanya perbedaan persepsi , ejaan lama dan ejaan baru, namun secara garis besar semua itu sama saja, maka guna menetralisir ini semua kami menulisnya dengan JAWAS, sesuai dengan literatur kamus Munjid serta beberapa kamus arab lainnya bahwa jawas ditusi dengan JAWAS, yang berarti Se ekor singa.
2. jawas memiliki karekteristik yang khas diantaranya :

• Cerdas ( Sebagian )
• Tidak mau kalah
• tempramental
• susah diatur
• kuat dengan pendirian
• loyal terhadap pekerjaannya
• pantang menyerah
• keras kepala
• dibutuhkan banyak orang
• pandai berbicara
